God Says in His Holy Word...

In view of the recent great sinful decision, made by the Supreme Court in this land:

O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord.
 Jeremiah 22:29

4.  Have ye not read, that He which made them at the beginning made them
male and female, 5. And said, For this cause shall a man leave
father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
 6. Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh.
 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Matthew 19:4-6

 ... yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;
Romans 3:4a

 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west,
and His glory from the rising of the sun.
When the enemy shall come in like a flood,
the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
Isaiah 59:19

...the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords,
and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Revelation 17:14b

In the Center of God's Will

There is no better place to be than in the center of God’s will
– except in His presence.

Day 2-Thanking God For His Protection- Awesome Power of God!

"A large E-F3 tornado (pictured above) with peak winds of 150 mph,
ripped though the area last month, 30 mi. to the west of our home.
 It destroyed a house, and damaged another. This particular tornado was on the
ground for about 15.5 miles.

 We were shopping in a neighboring city at the time,
and the sky was very dark and stormy. We decided to head home a
different way, and praise God...Otherwise we would have headed into part of the
storm! The hail here in the Midwest is known to reach the size of baseballs
(or larger), and tornado's and severe weather are not uncommon.
But, thankfully we know the One who is in control of the weather
and the storms! I am thankful for His protection that day, last month,
and also for the previous month, when a tornado was spotted
 in the field behind our house! We experienced hail, high winds,
 and a power outage for almost 2 days... Day-2-Thanking God for His
 compassionate protection and care!"

Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling His word: Psalm 148:8

The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit
 the wicked: the LORD hath His way in the whirlwind and in the storm,
and the clouds are the dust of His feet. Nahum 1:3

  Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: Let them praise
the name of the LORD: for His name alone is excellent; His glory is above
the earth and heaven. Psalm 148:12-13

Day 1-Giving Thanks

 I want to begin a series of 14 blog posts, on thankfulness-
I may not post a new one everyday, but just share on here as the Lord leads.
We have so much to thank Him for! And I specifically want to thank God
for everything He has given me in Christ...especially for His amazing love and grace!

In every thing give thanks: for this is the
will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
  1 Thessalonians 5:18

(Day 1)
 Thanking God for my friend's and family!

Friends are like the warm blue sea,
They splash laughter into your eyes.
Karen Reynolds

A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
Proverbs 18:24

What is something you are thanking God for today?
 I would love to hear your thoughts and comments!

And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon His name,

Redeeming the Time

Treasure every moment that you have!
And treasure it more because you spent it for Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.
And remember that time waits for no one. Yesterday is history.
 Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present!

Spend your time wisely!

To talk with God, no breath is lost-talk on!
To walk with God, no strength is lost-walk on!
To wait on God, no time is lost-wait on!

-Unknown

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard,
 nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen,
 O God, beside Thee, what He hath prepared for him that waiteth for Him.
Isaiah 64:4

Rain and Trials

Sometimes the bright sky turns to grey.
And the day seems dark and dreary,
No sunshine seems to light your way,
And your heart is sad and weary.

  Rain falls so heavily at times,
And of't we cannot see,
Why the dreams we had hoped for,
Are suddenly made to flee.

But then, there comes the rainbow,
God's promise in the sky,
Someday, someday, we'll understand,
And know the reason why.

The dark clouds are as needful,
As the skies of cheerful blue,
To accomplish God's own perfect will;
His promises are true.

For He hath said that, all things,
Work together for our good,
To them that love Him...
 Oh! let us then please Him, as we should!

 He does know what is best for us,
And although the way seems dark,
God has given refuge from life's storms,
As He did for Noah, in the Ark.

In Jesus Christ our Hope is found,
He is Light, our Strength, the Way,
Be still and know that He is God,
Oh, rest in Him today!

Be still, and know that I am God:  I will be exalted among the heathen,
I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10

I Asked the Lord

"He is Sovereign, Loving, Kind, nothing this truth can dim,
He gives the very best to those who leave the choice with Him.
My Jesus, Saviour, Shepherd, Friend!"

Written by: John Newton

I asked the Lord that I might grow
In faith, and love, and every grace;
Might more of His salvation know,
And seek, more earnestly, His face.

’Twas He who taught me thus to pray,
And He, I trust, has answered prayer!
But it has been in such a way,
As almost drove me to despair.

I hoped that in some favored hour,
At once He’d answer my request;
And by His love’s constraining pow’r,
Subdue my sins, and give me rest.

Instead of this, He made me feel
The hidden evils of my heart;
And let the angry pow’rs of hell
Assault my soul in every part.

Yea more, with His own hand He seemed
Intent to aggravate my woe;
Crossed all the fair designs I schemed,
Humbled my heart, and laid me low.

Lord, why is this, I trembling cried,
Wilt thou pursue thy worm to death?
“’Tis in this way, the Lord replied,
I answer prayer for grace and faith.

These inward trials I employ,
From self, and pride, to set thee free;
And break thy schemes of earthly joy,
That thou may’st find thy all in Me.”

Take Heed

Jesus said: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Luke 5:32

...and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.
Matthew 5:21

Do you know Him? Does He know YOU?

He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned,
and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
  He will deliver his soul from going into the pit,
and his life shall see the light.
Job 33:27-28

In Christ Alone

“It is not the strength of your faith but the object of your faith that actually saves you.”
(Unknown)

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life:
and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life;
but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 3:36
