A Tribute to Those Who Gave Their All

Memorial Day 2015

Our soldiers did their duty 

They stood among the brave;

For freedom, and for all of us

With love their lives they gave.

Where help was needed, 

With courage they went, 

And answered duty's call.
 They marched along bravely
Wherever they were sent.

They laid down their lives,

For their country,  

For family and friends so dear;

They will be greatly missed! 

Oh, there is no greater love than this!

So dearly will they be,

In our hearts and memories,

In honor of what they gave 

Two simple words I'd like to say, 

"Thank You."

Twelve beautiful red roses, from my very special friend, Jeff! =)

He asked and was given permission to court me recently, and just came to visit
from Ohio, with his brother. We had such a wonderful time
visiting together...God is so good!!! =) I am so excited and happy! =)
Please pray for Jeff and I as we continue to seek God's will,
and that we would bring Honour and Glory to the name
of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Thank you so much,

Fear God and Keep His Commandments

 What is the chief end of man?

 Man's chief end, is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him for ever.

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve 

through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted 

from the simplicity that is in Christ. 

 2 Corinthians 11:3

And further, by these, my son, be admonished: 

of making many books there is no end; 

and much study is a weariness of the flesh. 

 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:

 Fear God, and keep His commandments: 

for this is the whole duty of man.

Delicious Stuffed Mushrooms

 

My brother-in-law makes the most delicious stuffed mushrooms!
Here is a simplified version of his recipe; I hope you enjoy!!

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
                  1/2 cup cooked bacon  (or sausage, if your prefer)                  
1 tablespoon chopped green onion
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder   
1 pound whole fresh mushrooms, stems removed
   
 In a small bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
 Stir in the bacon, onion and garlic powder. Spoon into mushroom caps.
Broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 4-6 minutes or until heated through.
Serve warm. Yield: about 2 dozen.
